Potential for Abundance

A common mistake people often tend to make is to focus all their efforts into working harder and doing more. We believe - or, we have been taught to believe - that outcomes are directly proportional to our input. So, we work harder than ever before. When successful outcomes are not forthcoming, dissatisfaction and depression easily settle in. We lose our sparkle and life becomes a shadow of what we have dreamed of.

Ask any successful millionaire and he will tell you that his wealth is as much the result of hard work as wise investments and a whole lot of luck. Working harder to make more money is not a purpose in itself. No one should build life goals on such shaky sands, as the castle easily falls. In fact, making more money is not a goal in itself. Surprised? I'll explain in a moment.

All of us carry the potential for abundance within us. They are not riches reserved just for a few fortunate or very lucky ones. Everything you wish for in terms of personal success is real, it exists and you can have it, so stop seeing it like an impossible dream. Abundance and happiness both depend on the choices we make; your present condition is the result of past actions.

To succeed, start working on the means to attracting and living an abundant life. We create the reality within which we operate. When we focus on how little we have, we are unfortunately attracting the very scarcity that we wish to avoid. It's simple really: when you focus on how much you hate your job, doesn't your frustration levels rise? It is the same with abundance. Obsessing over what you don't have is not going to bring you results. Rather, it ultimately blocks the channels of attracting what you want.
